I went to a site that promised a Viral Explosion in my business. Grow Huge by giving stuff away. So, what's the catch and how do we monetize giving away free ebooks?

Basically, by partnering with some of the biggest names in the Internet Money Making field, the creator of this package got the rights to a number of ebooks that not only could he rebrand for himself BUT he could offer rebranding rights for others. He put together a little online computer program that will rebrand the pdf files with your name.

In addition to providing the reader with information, each eBook also promotes the original author's sites either through links in the eBook or display ads at the top and bottom. To monetize these sites, you put in your affiliate id for each of the authors.

That was the biggest pain in setting this up. For each of the books you had to sign up for the author's affiliate program, get the affiliate link, enter it into the rebranding program and then save the rebranded books. It took me several hours to do and the next morning I woke up to an inbox full of hundreds of emails about new programs and affiliate programs that I am now a part of. If you decide to set this up for yourself, be sure to get a separate email to place these into.

Many of the eBooks have some great information. Download one or two of the books and actually read them. Honest, you don't have to click on the links and buy anything. It's a great way to begin learning all about the topic you are interested in without spending a dime.

Oh, and you may notice one particular link shows up in every ebook. Yup, you guessed it, the author of the rebrand program made sure that he got his link in there too. 

So, how do we monetize it? Give them away for free and when enough folks have them and give them away even further, eventually someone might click on an affiliate link and buy something. The secret in the viral stuff though, is not really in what you do. I think it's the guy who has his link in every single book out there and the Internet Marketers who get the viral growth. Without an affiliate program of your own, you're mostly limited to the growth you create through your own direct efforts. Only with affiliates of your own do you really jump into the viral growth market.

Now with that in mind, you can download any of these books and sell them or give them away free. I encourage it! On the other hand, maybe you'll click on the Viral Explosion link and create a set of your own rebranded books.
