Creating Lists using JV Giveaways
Everybody in Internet marketing agrees that 'the money is in the list'. If that's true, then of course, you should be capturing leads and then communicating with your sign-ups effectively from the start.
If that's true, then list building is almost more important than the website. [Well, that is if money is the primary goal. However, as always, long term--- content is king.] Technically, you don't actually have to own a website to start this essential list building process.
My mentors have recommended that I start building my list through Joint Venture (JV) Giveaways. Giveaways are a popular and effective method for bringing traffic to your squeeze page and adding to your list.
Two of the giveaways I'm going to participate in are still looking for contributors. We'd love to have you join us. The links are:

In this case, the Giveaway is concentrating on video training resources.
The basic process is this:
- There is usually an organizer for the event who creates the website to drive traffic to and who makes the promotions available for the traffic. Each event has rules and a specific timeframe. Oftentimes, the organizer will set up ways for contributors to get points or special promo display preferences for actions the organizer would like contributors to help with.
- Contributors sign up and add their 'gifts' to the website. These are usually ebooks, software packages, audios or videos, though creative folks come up with all kinds of things. Free membership for access to exclusive content is one that comes to mind. When you sign up as a contributor to a JV Giveaway event, you write the text for the free offer you will be providing.
- Access to the product is through your own squeeze page where you will first get an email address to add to your list before you provide the download link.
- The organizer will set limits on the number of contributors, create a time frame for each part of the event (add contributors, add members, close offer), and track everything that's going on.
- When the doors open for members, it's crazy. Each contributor is driving traffic to the site and people are downloading free products left and right. A lot of products are available to be resold for a profit
- Members are encouraged to promote the JV Giveaway, and incentives are usually given to encourage this
- Credits or commissions are usually awarded for referring people and possibly downgrade penalties if nobody is referred.
Many people sign up to Giveaway events just to help themselves to freebies. Nothing wrong with that. Seems like in my last article I provided 36 free ebooks and encouraged you to read and learn for free. If people didn't do this, internet marketers would not generate any new leads through JV Giveaways ... so a Giveaway thrives on its 'freebie seekers'.
Many of the big names in internet marketing got their initial lists built and continue to build their lists through this well known process. You can do a search for JV Giveaways on Google and get a ton of links. Of course, most have long since expired, but it gives you an idea of what's been offered.
If you're serious about growing your online business and your list building then become an active contributor and take part in a Giveaway.
For first-timers, it's best to take a free listing ... most, if not all Giveaway events, offer a free listing option.
For one particular Giveaway, http://new-jv-talent.com/easter/go/287/jv -- there's even a 'Newbies Bootcamp' which shows you exactly how to create a first listing at absolutely no cost to you whatsoever. The site challenges you to sign up your first 10 referrals and to convince yourself that this process really works.
Once you're convinced about the process, having ventured nothing but your time, you can start to get really involved and get the additional benefits of taking an upgrade. An upgrade is essentially paying to list more free products, get preferential placement, receive additional One Time Offers and more.
Most Giveaway updates are reasonably priced, you only have to sell one of your One Time Offers and you'll have earned your fee back.
So, what are you waiting for? [Time and tide waits for no one!] Whatever niche you're in, there's bound to be a benefit in taking part in these Giveaway events.
Sign-up at http://new-jv-talent.com/easter/go/287/jv and/or http://www.easterjvs.com/contributor.php?id=2438 right now and convince yourself that Giveaways really are the place to be if you want to build a list fast.
I hope to see your name at the top of the leader board at http://new-jv-talent.com/easter/go/287/jv and http://www.easterjvs.com/contributor.php?id=2438 !
