Creating a Website in only 20 minutes!
I've been working on a couple of site builds recently. I'm working with a number of products to test which of these works the best. I'm discovering that Best can mean a variety of things depending on what your goal happens to be.
Let's start with the idea of why we are building a website. Well, for a site named Keys to Wealth, certainly it's about making money. But how do we make that money? Two major views come to mind.
- Build a site and focus on that site. Become a leader and an expert and a teacher on that subject. Focus all of your attention on building a site and setting up backlinks so that the big money flows to your site. Write articles and become known and branded.
- Build a bunch of sites. Build a bunch more sites. Focus on creating sufficiently good content to bring moderate traffic to the site. Each site brings in a little money but added together, it can bring in huge amounts of money. Want more money, build more sites.
For this article, I'm going to focus on the latter. I've built two sites. One took about a day to build and the other took about 20 minutes. Both of those times are very short in the scheme of things.
WPMage
The first product is called WPMage, as in WordPress Mage. Using this tool you can work WordPress like Magic. Well, maybe. This was how I built a site in only 20 minutes.
The basic idea in WPMage is to find expired domains which still have backlinks and a reasonable domain name you can work with. If you rebuild such a domain, the existing backlinks can bring some minimal traffic to the site once it is built.
The initial software setup takes a bit of time but once in place, creating a site on a domain is quite fast. Some of the things that are set up in advance are inputting information for ClickBank, Ebay, Amazon, Yahoo, AdSense, AWS, Overstock, Commission Junction, Linkshare, etc.
When you are ready to create a domain, you provide the list of keywords, the wordpress template and a title. The software goes off and installs the domain onto your host, installs wordpress, creates articles, video placements, appropriate product or ad placements and more.
My first site is up and running at http://www.InsideEverett.com and it really did take only 20 minutes from the time I pointed the nameservers to my hosting service and the webserver was up and running.
The Inside Everett domain was an expiring domain of someone who had many backlinks to local political sites. The keywords I chose were related to politics. Looking at the page you can see an article in the center (taken from public article sources), a video from YouTube.
On the right you see a search box followed by AdSense ads from Google. The ads are related to the topic. Some posts below that.
Under the YouTube video are 3 books from Amazon and 2 more from another source, automatically supplied based on the keywords I set up. You also get to determine how many products or offers you want to have show up on the page.
If you get a chance, create a user name for yourself and log into this site. I'd love to have your comments about the quality and value of a site that was build in only 20 minutes.
WPMage is found at http://www.wpmage.com --- unfortunately Greg has closed up the membership for the time being. As people drop out or don't perform, he allows more back in. If you want to be on an email list to be notified when there are openings, let me know and I will notify you the next time he opens up the membership. You can click on the Contact Us link and send me a note.
The second site took longer to set up but was still fairly quick. It took longer to set up because you need to provide or write your own articles for the main content. I will write another article later to describe why that is better and what are the special advantages of this software over WPMage.
