Viral Marketing with Free Reports and Article Video Robot

This is quite the combination article. The keywords I put up are: video, article marketing, tools, viral, seo, & plr. They are tied together because I used PLR for the basic article to post, I am trying to do article marketing but I'm adding video using the Article Video Robot as a tool so that I can improve my search ranking and go viral!

I created the Video with a program called Article Video Robot (AVR). It's an amazing piece of software. The promise is that I can take an existing article, drop it into AVR and in 3 minutes I've got a video that I can distribute to 17 different video sites.

Well, as you might expect, it took a bit longer than 3 minutes. Using the one click wizard, I certainly can get the data uploaded to AVR but then it can take awhile to generate. When you click the final button to download the finished product it tells you that it will place it in the queue and it might be a couple of hours. But hey, it only took me 3 minutes to set up.

I was unhappy with the default setup. If you watched the video above, you see that there is text at the top, a picture or two drops in on each page as you choose, there is background music, there is speaking and there is a background picture.

For Video version 2, I used the standard wizard. This allows me to choose my own pictures if I don't like the selection available from AVR. So I dropped in some of my own pics. I also didn't like the background, so I picked that. And I wanted to vary the voices so we could hear several of them in the presentation. It took a bit more time since now I had to go to each page and choose the text to display and the text to speak. I also had to search for images on my hard disk. Took me about an hour to do it this way. And then I ran it and it failed miserably.

Version 3. Resize all of the pictures that I provided. OK, that's another hour, but hey, two hours to create a 5 minute video is pretty good. The finished product is the product above. Or you can see it directly on Daily Motion by clicking here.

I had to play with the text for several of the voices in order for them to sound---ok, well sort of. There are still problems, mostly in terms of pace of delivery. I would put commas and double-dashes to create pauses but all the pauses are the same length, so it's hard to get it to sound natural. Also, the inflections aren't always right. A couple of the female speakers pitch goes down at the end of a question instead of up. There isn't a way to specifically correct that. And finally, some words are pronounced wrong. I rewrote "people" to "peeple" and "isn't" to "izant". Different voices seemed to require different changes.

I tried to use the "voice record" option and use my voice instead of the computer generated one. It has this, uhhh, feature, where it starts recording when you start talking. Unfortunately, in my system it meant that the first half a second of the first word was cut off. I resorted to tapping the mic before I started but that sounded pretty awful. Happily, there is an option to record your own mp3 clips and then just load in the mp3.

For what it does, the software is pretty awesome. I would give up on the computer generated voices and create my own clips. I would use my own pictures, background and music. The way it sets things up make the video creation process fairly easy compared to using something like Adobe Premier or even Windows Movie maker. Just dealing with the timeline on those seems to be quite a pain.

So, instead of the promised 3 minutes, I would set aside 2-3 hours to create a video of this type. But compared to the "normal" video process, that would be a pretty good deal.

One other really cool features is the ability to click a button and have the video uploaded to up to 17 sites. I only set up 4 in this test: MetaCafe, YouTube, DailyMotion, and Blip.tv.

The video seems to have indexed with Google. With the search "Viral Marketing with Free Reports and Article Video Robot" I come up with the number 1 and 2 spots (Dailymotion & Metacafe).

With the search "Viral Marketing using Free Reports" I come up with the number 1 spot (Dailymotion) on Google! Woo Hoo! This is about 4 hours after I uploaded the video. I would never rank that high with just a text article.

Incidently, the article I chose "Viral Marketing with Free Reports" is a free PLR. I wanted to run the test against something that wasn't strictly a promotion of AVR since that seems to be the first video of choice by many new users.

Article Video Robot turns any Article to a talking Video in one clickAVR also has an affiliate program and they provide the ad banners. Here is one of their sample ads on the right. They provide a 50% commission and they provide the ability to create coupons. So if you want to check it out for a month, the 50% off coupon code is BB947F04.

I should also mention that they also have a Advanced Editor that gives you much finer grain control over the entire presentation. It has a timeline on the bottom and a number of other features. I didn't find a manual on how to use it though so I may do another review in the future. My guess is that if you are going to use the advanced version, it might be just as easy to use standard editing software. (On the other hand, if you are only going to change transitions and some timing, it may still be easier to use in combo with the standard editor) The two real powers of AVR are that the process to create the video is incredibly simple and the ease in uploading to multiple sites is child's play.

We are using video to drive traffic and rank us higher in the search engines. The quality of the video isn't the best, a lot of shakiness and artifacts---but the fact remains, I ranked number 1 in a Google search for my article only a few hours after I uploaded it. Seems worth the price to me. (For you perfectionists, I have no problem if you continue to use Adobe Premier and hand post your video to the various video sites)

[Note: About 48 hours after I posted the Videos to the 4 sites mentioned, Blip.tv cancelled my account saying they have a policy against blatent advertising and promotion. Thought you should know. My opinion, it's only half blatent since the topics I review are about those kinds of products. :-)]

Where's the Video?

Hi Rich,

Great article, I love the fact that you ranked #1 for the keyword set you targeted in the video. But, I don't see a video here, what's up?

Bob

Sorry about that chief!

Thanks for commenting Bob.

I could see it because I have a different set of permissions than everyone else. Because you pointed it out, I checked the viewing video permissions and sure enough, only people with fairly high permissions on the system could see it.

I've fixed that, everyone should be able to see the video now.

Thanks again for pointing that out so I could get it fixed.
